Any act or violation of duties committed by an individual against the society is defined as a crime, however there are different types of crimes. Their classifications revealed their nature and the level of punishments. Felonies are more serious crimes than  misdemeanors and lesser ones are violations.  The criminal procedure consists of several aspects to be taken before a trail.  Most of the time some of the stages could benefit both parties, the prosecutor for the government as plaintiff and the defense attorney for the defendant.
